To be honest, this is a FOTD from a few days ago but I just thought I'd show you what the MAC Matchmaster foundation looks like on me. As mentioned before, I got a sample from my local MAC to see how well it colour matched and just to try out the foundation in general. I still haven't made any final judgement on this as I haven't worn it enough times but I'll let you know how it goes.
I'm also wearing my new YSL Rouge Volupte in #3 Ultimate Beige so hopefully you can get an idea of the colour against my skin tone.

Sample Arrival: MAC Matchmaster Foundation 7.5..♥

I mentioned in my last post that I moved into my flat this week so now I live walking distance from MAC (woohooooo!).
So on Friday, I decided to take a walk to the city centre and obviously I went into MAC. I didn't buy anything surprisingly but I did leave with a sample of their new foundation called Matchmaster. For those that are unaware, I made a blog post in August about this foundation (click here if you didn't get a chance to see it) and another post for shade conversions (click here for a rough idea of conversions).
I usually use NC50 across most MAC products which is equivalent to 7.5 in the Matchmaster Foundation but all Matchmaster shades are neutral which is great for me as I have a neutral undertone :)
Luckily the lovely consultant at the counter gave me quite a lot of sample so this should last maybe a week or even more.

Sample Arrival: Face Atelier Ultra Foundation Zero Plus..♥

Hope everyone is good. I would just like to apologise for my lack of posts this week. I've just moved into a new flat with my friends so I've been quite busy struggling to unpack and settle down.
I just thought I'd update you and show you the fourth sample of the Face Atelier Ultra Foundation that I received from Coco Beau earlier this week.
This time, I was sent a sample of 'Zero Plus' as I didn't feel the other colours were a good colour match. Hopefully this will be a good match because there aren't really any other shade options.
Face Atelier don't have a wide colour range for women of colour in this foundation so it's very difficult to just buy one without having to mix it.
'Zero Plus' is usually used as an adjuster to darken any of their other ultra foundation shades including shades for paler skin. Anyone looking to darken their ultra foundation will just need a drop of this in order to do so but in my case, I am using it as a foundation and not an adjuster.
If this doesn't work for me, I may consider using it to darken #10 Cocoa which I posted a picture of in an earlier post.

I thought I'd show you what I had got over the past week or so. I popped into Lakeside and bought a few things which have been on my wishlist or that I was just interested in trying.
I didn't get much as you can see from the picture above but I thought I'd share anyway =)
Sleek Face Contour Kit - Medium
"A highlighter and pressed powder kit, which can be used to help sculpt and define one’s features. This product contains two powders.
The darker powder is used to create shadows on the face, such as defining the jaw line or contouring the cheekbones. The lighter powder is the highlighter, used to reflect light off the face and can be placed in various places such as the apple of the cheeks, the temple, the tip of the nose etc. 14g"Though I own contour/sculpting powders already, I wanted to try the Sleek one because I feel as though the ones I already own are a bit too dark for my skin tone and I don't want to walk around looking like I've been punched in the face lol
This contour powder comes in light, medium and dark. I bought it in the shade 'Medium' as this is the colour that I've noticed most people who are my skin tone use.
I've used it once since I've bought it and so far it's okay.
It was about £6.50 from Superdrug which is good because it also comes with a highlighter.
The packaging reminds me of Nars blushes. It comes with a mirror for convenience or I guess if you want to contour your face whilst you're on the move?
On the left you have the matte contour powder and on the right is a highlighter (which varies depending on what shade you buy the powder in)

Whilst in Superdrug, I also picked up Sleek's Pout Polish in 'Peach Perfection' for £4.30 (I think). I just bought this because I wanted to see how it compares to MACs Tinted Lip Conditioner.

YSL Rouge Volupte - #1 Nude Beige and #3 Ultimate Beige
After buying 'Provocative Pink' a couple of weeks ago, I fell in love with these lipsticks!
They are just so soft and creamy and as a bonus, they smell absolutely lovely (well in my opinion anyway) so I couldn't resist buying another TWO.
This time, I bought less bright colours. They're in the shades '#1 Nude Beige' and '#3 Ultimate Beige' as you may have gathered from the above picture.
Once again, these retail for about £22 each from most department stores

'Nude Beige' may come off as a nude or nudey on lighter skin tones but for me it is far from that. It's really just a pale pink on me and there's nothing 'nude' about it.
'Ultimate Beige' is definitely more of a nude for me. I love how it is very subtle and can be used for every day wear.

Okay, so I don't know what everyone else uses this for but I'm absolutely in love with this product!
I often wear weaves and though my hair is relaxed, anyone with my hair type knows that blending your natural hair with the extensions is very important.
I used to use African Royale Mink Oil Gel to blend but I haven't seen it on shelves for a very long time now and I think it may have been discontinued which just makes me want to cry every time I think about it. That product without a doubt was my favourite. No other product can compare but I guess this Garnier one comes close enough so it's my new love =)
I love this because it is water based and therefore doesn't leave your hair feeling greasy or dirty looking if used properly. This is especially important because I normally use virgin hair extensions and if greasy/oily products gets onto this, it's not a very nice look.You just need a small amount to achieve great results.
It also gives your hair a nice shine and smells like apples!
I'm not too sure how this product works on non-relaxed hair as everybody in my house uses a relaxer =/
Another thing is that it doesn't make your hair hard and isn't sticky like most gels/waxes are so this is definitely a pro for me as I'm not too fond of sticky products.
The only downside to this is that I'm not sure if it is available in England. My mum bought it when she went to America earlier this year but I'm sure it is available online.
I'm sure this product has many uses for different people with different hair types but this is just the way I benefit from it most. =)

This is just a quick post on how I grow my eyelashes. My lashes are not super long or anything but I've noticed a difference since I started looking after them.
Just like the hair on your head, your eyelashes also need moisture in order to maintain growth and keep them from falling out!
In order to ensure that my eyelashes are moist, I coat them in coconut oil every night. This helps to promote growth and stop fall out. Vaseline/petroleum jelly can also be used instead but be careful not to get anything in your eyes. Since I've been doing this, I have seen a difference in length. My sister also does this and has seen a significant difference in her eyelashes.
It's an easy and inexpensive way to grow them!
